TBC: When did you first begin dreaming up The Blushing Society?
A.S: I first began dreaming up The Blushing Society while I was styling brides for their upcoming nuptials. It came out of the desire to provide brides with a single resource for all of their fashion and beauty needs. There were no online resource(s) for brides and talented beauty professionals to connect- a concierge for all things beauty was missing.
TBC: Tell us about The Blushing Society
A.S: The Blushing Society is an online resource for brides looking for topnotch, established beauty professionals who provide first-rate services in hairstyling, makeup, grooming, nails, styling, and massage. We derive our inspiration from everything (fashion and beauty magazines, architecture, different cultures, movies, art) in order to give our clients the most savvy styling available.
TBC: Tell us about your background, and what you love most about what you do
A.S: I have been in the fashion and beauty industry for over 20 years as a designer and personal stylist. I am also a licensed esthetician and founder of Sheʼ s U Design, The Kloset Boutique and Abbiegailʼs Salon & Spa.
TBC: What are some of the most popular services that you offer?
A.S: Some of our most popular and most requested services include makeup, hairstyling, wardrobe styling, and personal shopping and nail services. However, the majority of our clients like to be pampered completely from head to toe, which is what we do best.
TBC: Tell us about your Bridal Styling and Beauty Services.
A.S: Our Bridal Styling and Beauty Services are designed to pamper the bride and to help create the “look” and story for her special day and other important occasions.
TBC: What do you love most about working with Brides?
A.S: What I love most about working with brides is seeing everything come together through their eyes. Watching each bride discover that she is, in fact, becoming her dream come true, is magical. From the beautifully fitted dress, to that daintily manicured nail, to the sweet tendril sweeping across her cheek, experiencing every aspect of the bride’s person coming into cohesion is a breath-taking process.
TBC: How far in advance do you recommend Brides book to ensure they will be able to book their preferred stylists and estheticians?
A.S: We bring professionalism and artistry to our clientele whether the event is a wedding, anniversary, red carpet event or other glamorous occasion. Seeing our clients come to life is truly our passion.
– I recommend that brides book at least 6-8 weeks in advance to ensure that they will be able to book their preferred stylists and esthetician.
TBC: Do you have any style icons or mentors that you look up to as you continue to develop The Blushing Society?
A.S: As I continue to develop The Blushing Society, some of my style icons and mentors include Chanel, Vera Wang, Rachel Zoe, Oprah, Michelle Obama…the list goes on and on.
TBC: What do you see on the horizon for The Blushing Society?
A.S: I see The Blushing Society taking on a more global role where we will continue to serve as ambassadors bringing elite beauty professionals into relationship with distinguished clientele who are in need of exceptional service.
