On October 18th, Romona Keveza opened  her latest collection and New York City penthouse showroom to guests- by appointment only.  Located at One Rockefeller Plaza, The Penthouse, the fashionable showroom was designed by Mary McDonald and decidedly has the air of a personal salon rather than a penthouse suite in one of the world’s most bustling cities.  The walls are lined with floor-to-ceiling mirrors and the palette of the room is a scheme of light and airy neutrals and grays- a beautiful backdrop for the elegant tones of Keveza’s gowns.

Instead of being confronted with a chaotic and overwhelming collection of gowns on racks waiting to be sifted through, guests can relax in a delicate slipper chair or klismos-inspired seat to conveniently sort through an immense collection of gowns on an iPad.  Selections are promptly retrieved for guests to try on.  An elite group of private clients were privied to the process and a preview of Keveza’s latest collection on October 9th.

The Spring 2015 Collection boasts a dichotomy of styles for simply sweet or daringly modern brides.  Keveza creates this balance using an array of textures and fabrics.  Her softer pieces utilize an intricate balance of laces an alluring transparencies which pool in soft folds.  We’re partial to Keveza’s geometric silhouettes, beautifully sleek and fitted, which offer slim skirts that accentuate the figure or fuller skirts which balance transparency and opacity.  Keveza further accentuates the figure with boldly belted styles- we love the metallic detail.
