Bridal Style: Bridal Jumpsuits and Statement-Making Separates
Modern-day brides are looking for wedding fashion that reflect their personality and put a spin on traditional bridal looks. There are so many gorgeous alternative options from jumpsuits to separates to menswear-inspired styles. We rounded up our favorite ones, no doubt you’ll find here a bridal style that will make you look good and feel amazing. Read on!!
BRIDAL JUMPSUITS
If you want to wow your guests, a bridal jumpsuit is the way to go. Jumpsuits are super versatile, comfortable and come in a range of styles –sleeveless, fit-and-flare, strapless and figure flattering– to please even the pickiest of brides. Dress it down for a casual wedding, or add show stopping heels and sparkly accessories for a more formal affair. If you’re not ready for such a big statement, you can instead wear a jumpsuit to your rehearsal dinner, wedding reception or wedding after-party.
MEN-INSPIRED STYLES
For modern brides that love setting trends, wearing a menswear-inspired bridal look will be a piece of cake. This trend goes all the way back to Coco Chanel’s day, but just now is becoming popular in the wedding world. Menswear-inspired doesn’t mean that you can’t look feminine. Check out how gorgeous Bianca Jagger (third image above) looks in her menswear-inspired Yves Saint Laurent skirt suit. The key to making this trend aisle-worthy is adding feminine touches that even out this masculine style. You can wear a tuxedo suit with allover lace or sequin for a touch of glam. Girly accessories like a floppy hat or a sheer bow can work, too.
BRIDAL SEPERATES
It’s your big day, so you might as well have fun with your look. Separates have been a part of ready-to-wear runways for the past few seasons with crop tops being the most popular option. Now, they have made their way to bridal runways to give wedding fashion a much needed upgrade. You can try a crop top look or a voluminous skirt with a delicate tank top. This makes finding a look you love much easier! Top to right: BHLDN, Elizabeth-Stuart, Lela Rose, and Watters.
