The Graceful Art of Calligraphy by Moya Minns of MM Ink

It was love at first flourish for calligrapher Moya Minns, whose fascination for hand lettering began in the 7th grade and has grown into a lifelong passion. Just some of the many lovely things we adore about Moya include: offering her clients a wide range of calligraphic styles, with an emphasis on elegant writing; her ability to match and coordinate with any color scheme; and her ability to design new, custom lettering styles for wedding invitations and paper elements. That Moya, she’s truly an artist who loves her craft!  But you have to experience her work for yourself, so hop on over to her newly launched MM Ink website and blog!  In the meantime, let Moya share some of her thoughts on calligraphy with you…

I fondly remember receiving a very sweet note from one of my clients after she mailed her invitations:

“The calligraphy is divine! Simply gorgeous! Our guests were tickled to receive them! It is the perfect way to start all the wedding festivities and kick our event into high style!”

That is the beauty this timeless and graceful art form holds; and every stroke of the pen is unique to your design and can be created with your personality in mind.

The expression of a human touch is very much sought after in this digital age and with proper execution, calligraphy really makes letters come alive and dance on paper. However flourished or fanciful the lettering style, fine hand calligraphy maintains its elegance and commands your attention.

An elegant hand addressed envelope conveys your thoughtfulness, and a beautifully hand lettered invitation suite showcases your personality, exquisite style and sophistication. Add day of calligraphy pieces such as seating cards and custom signs for your wedding and you are well on your way to an unforgettable and high style event!

Fondly,

Moya Minns, Founder of MM Ink
