They all inspire him to create breathtaking experiences that capture each of his client’s personalities in beautiful, painstaking detail. Brilliantly savvy and artistically inspired, he’s simply a genius at transforming occasions into unbelievable milestone adventures. {And there’s invariably a healthy dose of FUN, too. That’s just how he rolls.}

{TBC}:  Your firm specializes in “life excursions that capture the client’s personality.” What do you consider the key ingredients to a creating a successful life excursion?

The perfect recipe of the energy of the couple, a dash of excitement, a beautiful surrounding to feel beautiful in, and all the details to keep the guest engaged, informed, and excited about the weekend that has been created in honor of them and the couple.

{TBC}:  How do you handle a bride who has no idea what she wants in a wedding design?

I take her on the journey that I have always wanted to see happen… and lots of times, they let me… it is a blessing to have that client who is open to experiencing that beauty… I find I jump through way more hoops for clients like this!

{TBC}:  Is there a common thread that runs through your amazing weddings

I have my favorite things.  I am addicted to accessories, in love with lamps, signature bars… these things are my brand and have been since day one… so they are common threads in wedding design for me.

{TBC}:  What are the 3 most important things a bride should know when selecting an event producer?

Refined levels of taste, committed to delivering an incredible event, and honesty.

{TBC}:  What has been your best or most memorable wedding design that you created, and what made it different?

There are so many… I would say a wedding we completed last May… the client was incredible… they trusted in us to be visionary, they allowed us to experiment, and were not fearful, and they did not get in the way of their own party!  They came as guests and experienced it as such and for that reason, they floated on happiness and excitement all night. The details had not worn them out… some brides are terrible about being hyper focused during planning, that they don’t relax and enjoy the evening… they are too busy pointing out their hard work to people…

{TBC}:  Is there a “sure thing” formula for a wedding? Does it matter if it’s a destination wedding?

Yep.. things will go wrong, someone will say something not nice, someone will drink to much, and a child will cry!  You cannot control Humans, but we sure do try! But confident smart women that I love, don’t fret the small stuff… you cannot control, people, animals, and the weather!

{TBC}:  What advice would you give a newly engaged bride about how to begin her wedding planning journey?

Concentrate on how you want to feel… relaxed, joyous, rockin’ out on the dance floor, or being calm and having a lovely dinner… Design an event that reflects you… if you’re not a get down and boogie kind of couple, but you have that party… the energy is not there because you’re not engaged with your event… do what reflects you.

{TBC}:  As an artist, what inspires you?

Oscar de la Renta style, Classic and Romantic, Floral artistry of Daniel Ost, interior design of Miles Redd, and Thom Felicia…. I am a frustrated interior designer at heart.. so these are my icons and idols.

{TBC}:  Name one action or decision that has had the greatest impact on your success.

Work your butt off, be humble if you stumble, and never take for granted that I am delivering events that I could NEVER pay for myself, and for that reason, I want it to be amazing, because I respect how expensive it is to do this!

{TBC}:  What is your personal “can’t live without” wedding day tool/accessory?

My lunch box.  I travel with food, snacks and water, as well as a washcloth and Hermes fragrance… If I have to have a washcloth bath in my car, baby I need to be ready!

{TBC}:  There’s no right or wrong answer, but if you could be anywhere in the world planning a wedding right now, where would you be?

I would be on a beach, all the guests would be kind and smart and talented, wearing white, tons of white flowers everywhere, we would be enjoying the night sky and the music and a beautiful glass of wine, and I would be standing back out of the way… and going “damn! I am lucky I do this for a living…!”
