Inspired by Elizabeth Messina's Lovely Images from Fall 2012 Issue of The Knot
We recently shared some of Elizabeth Messina’s gorgeous images from the new Fall 2012 issue of The Knot Magazine. Well, we’re still oohing and aahing over the luscious photographs Elizabeth captured for the issue. They’re tremendously inspirational as they evoke a sense of romance, sensuality and softness. We can envision beautiful portrait sessions of the bride draped in whimsical garden flowers, or posed naturally on elegant settees and chaise lounges, even the groom could be caught holding a simple rose or seated casually on an ornate chair. There’s just something so quietly lovely about these simple images, we can see how they could capture the tiny moments and subtle textures that make up the style of your wedding day.
Such sweet, romantic poses are shown here, and they manage to depict a moment in time that highlights the bride in her gown without seeming false or forced. {Below} There is an elegance here in the long sweep of her back, the vulnerability of her arms. Truly magical.
Something we find quite alluring about these images is the exquisite hair and makeup styling by beauty expert, Erin Skipley. From the soft, wavy curls to the dewy, fresh makeup. Even Kat Flowers‘ whimsical use of garden blooms such as clematis, lupine and spray rose buds is dreamy. Nothing overwhelms, all of the elements work together to enhance the bridal silhouette. {{sigh}}
And, if you don’t know, this particular issue of The Knot is a landmark issue for the iconic wedding planning magazine as it’s the first digital issue available for iPad, Kindle, or Nook. So, by all means my dear brides and grooms, go forth and get your copy of the magazine in any way that works best for you! In the meantime, Elizabeth has shared with us these images not seen in the magazine. And you know we had to share them with you ! Enjoy!
