Crowning Glory: 2012 the Year of the Tiara

Once known to only grace the heads of royalty, the tiara transformed into a bejeweled fascination for the bespoke bride. And this year, Town & Country magazine is predicting a trending upswing with the resurgence of the bridal tiara.

Recent designer debuts include the De Beers Wildflowers tiara (above) with 445 round brilliant-cut diamonds, Cartier’s multicolored stunner of morganite, amethyst and sapphires, and the crystal hair ornaments from the Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 collection. Other mainstays like Harry Winston, Van Cleef & Arples and Kwiat are keeping this trend going with gorgeous collections of dainty diamond encrusted tiaras.
