We’ve all been there: evening outing, you need something special- eye-catching, glimmering, makes you feel gorgeous…. and, nothing in your closet fits the bill.  With Fall, Winter, and the holiday season’s series of festivities just around the corner, we’ve taken note of some seriously shimmering evening beauties that will ensure you make the most of the rapidly approaching event season.

Elie Saab’s latest couture collection is nothing short of dazzling.  Embroidered and beaded smocks artfully encrusted with pearls, shimmering sequins, cabochons and glimmering stones comprise this elegant evening ensemble of gowns.  Romantic silk tulle, sheer layers and exquisite jacquard prints are thoughtfully paired with beautiful accessories to create gorgeously textured looks.  We love the way the femininity of the waist is accentuated with delicate velvet belts in this collection, and how a sense of expectation is created with the addition of luxurious fox fur stoles to several strapless numbers.

The collection features beautifully colored designs, with blossoming pinks developing into sultry crimsons and exquisite reds degrading into metallic-silver blues.  We love the long, voluminous crimson red gown as well, which plunges beautifully into swirls of pink chiffon.  Clearly, Elie Saab has taken ombre to an eloquent new level.  Natural, nude tones within the collection have created another level of expert coloration to complement these degraded color silhouettes as well.  Boasting of polite blushes and barely-there beiges, Elie Saab’s color scheme creates a lovely palette of feminine wistfulness and glamour.
