Attending a formal beach wedding? Dress to impress by wearing a summer suit, a linen shirt styled with a tie and casual oxfords. For a casual beach wedding, another dapper option is pairing a sport jacket or blazer with slacks, a crisp white shirt (tie optional) and boat shoes. When you’re shopping for options, use the season to dictate your color choices and fabrics. In spring/summer the colors that work best are pastels, light blues, reds, oranges and pink. Fabrics you should considered are: linen, cotton and seersucker. These are all perfect when dealing with sun and sand.

FORMAL WEDDING

For a formal wedding during the day, start by selecting a dark colored suit in a mid-weight material. Wear it with a conservative shirt, bow tie and black oxfords. Wearing colors like navy, burgundy, or a brocade suit is not out of the question as long as you don’t overshadow the groom.

If your invitation says “Black Tie” be prepare to wear a tux, since this wedding dress code usually means the wedding is very formal and during the evening.
