Black and White Ballroom Wedding at The St. Regis Bal Harbour in Miami, Florida
The perfect event design palette for today’s sophisticated brides and grooms who crave timeless glamour with modern sensibilities is… black and white! It is an event design scheme that is both dramatic AND elegant.
This gorgeous black and white wedding took place in the ballroom at the luxurious St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort in Miami, Florida. “I knew that I wanted a room that was modern, clean, elegant and architectural. The St Regis was the perfect backdrop for my vision, ” says bride Debra Kalish.
Once again, the talented floral and event design firm Jose Graterol Designs was able to create an environment that reflected the bride and groom’s taste to perfection and beyond!
“Other than knowing I loved black and white, I did not really go into the wedding with a clear vision. But it continued to unfold as I worked with event designer, Jose Graterol. I knew I did not want a traditional-looking wedding, but once Jose showed me the chairs, the design took off from there. I wanted clean, modern white dinner tables without linens, but they did not exist in the Miami market so Jose designed and built the tables for me! For the reception, hydrangeas, roses, peonies, phalaenopsis orchids were used in various ways, so that every person could enjoy a different view while seated. Every detail was addressed by Jose and Steve beyond what I could ever have imagined. There were unifying details that reinforced the black and white theme, like the use of black water glasses, napkins and favor boxes. The over-sized bar and escort table floral masterpieces were truly impressive works-of-art! My guests and families are still talking about them! All of the custom-made design details made my wedding so special!” says Kalish.
We couldn’t agree more Debra! We particularly love the lush, modern square Chuppah and all-white peony bridal bouquet Jose created for you! A beautiful wedding on every level… congratulations to you and David! {Lovely photos provided courtesy of Sharone Amit Photography}
