The Perfect London Escape: The Four Seasons at Park Lane

By Sade Awe, Founder & Editor-in-Chief

London is one of my favorite cities to visit and shop in when I can. I am hopelessly in love with certain things that I can only get from London, so when London calls, I go! {Every chance I get.}

A few weeks ago I was in London to speak at Sarah Haywood’s luxury wedding workshop and I stayed at one of my favorite hotel brands the Four Seasons, which always feels like home away from home – the gorgeous redesigned Four Seasons Hotel at Park Lane.

The Four Seasons at Park Lane is perfectly located in the heart of Mayfair, and less than 10 minutes away from Harrods…one of my favorite stores!

What can I say about my experience at the Four Seasons without sounding as though I was gushing?  The moment I waltzed into the hotel, I was greeted and welcomed by the dedicated and loyal staff that I have come to expect at every Four Seasons hotel. However, there was something different about this particular hotel and I could not quite put my finger on it until the end of day one….

I quickly went upstairs to change and get ready to head out, and when I walked into my stunning suite with a panoramic ceiling to floor view of Park Lane I did not want to leave. But, duty calls. I had an appointment and called downstairs to concierge to inquire about transportation. It was then I was told by the amazing team at Four Seasons {specifically Brad and Gerri} “Ms. Awe,  the chauffeured Rolls Royce will take you to where you are going, and anywhere else you need to go during your stay in London…”  And that, was that. Pure luxury told through exceptional, thoughtful service and attention to detail.

SO SUITE…

The Four Seasons at Park Lane’s suites are luxuriously decorated with gleaming chandeliers and soft nubuck wall coverings, a beautiful fireplace that invites you to get cozy in front of it. You want to get comfortable in the lavish furnishings, and appreciate the artwork, antiques and personal attention paid to every decorative detail in each room within the suite. And then there are the stunning views from every window! They give you some of the most dramatic panoramic views of the park and London cityscape.

One of the many things I love about Four Seasons at Park Lane is how everyone made me feel, and how they took care of every detail of my experience. Nothing was missed. Their excellent staff have a way of making you feel like a superstar, because they go out of there way to make sure all five senses are catered to, every minute of every day.  Making this luxury hotel unlike any other.  I found precisely what I was looking for on my travels: a home away from home in London and more. So much more.

From the breathtaking modern Grand Ballroom (the absolutely perfect spot for a wedding in London!), to magnificent views, the luxury Spa on the roof top, which I have to say I fell hopelessly in love with. I wanted to take my masseuse back to Dallas with me!

CUISINE

Let’s talk about the fine dining. Being a foodie at heart I could not wait to dine at Amaranto in Four Seasons, which is a single destination with three various spots that consist of the restaurant, lounge, and bar.  The cuisine is an Italian-inspired menu that I guarantee will leave you wanting to dine for breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner.  I have to say they completely spoiled me – from the  bespoke creations whipped up for me by the highly skilled mixologists at the Amaranto bar to plate after plate of tantalizing food. All done with sophistication, and unprecedented service.

So, again, let me encourage you all to think Four Seasons at Park Lanewhilst next in London. Whether you are looking to score tickets to the hottest shows in London, look no further but to their Albermarte Theatre desk located in the hotel – they will take care of your every need and whim. Trust me, there is nothing they won’t do to make your stay one you’ll never forget.
