Julie Sabatino, who founded The Stylish Bride in 2003, was the first person to focus exclusively on wedding fashion styling and is credited with creating the profession. The concept came to Julie while she was searching for her own wedding dress in 2000. What began as an exciting adventure, the wedding dress search for Julie quickly turned into a nightmare. Not only did her career on Wall Street limit the amount of time she had to devote to shopping, but she also had lots of different opinions from well-meaning family members. The combination of the two created mass confusion and it took her four months and trying on dresses to find the perfect gown. She quickly realized, however, that there was much more that needed to be done. Finding the perfect accessories, bridesmaid dresses, grooms attire and rehearsal dinner outfit all required countless additional hours. Trying to balancing all of this while planning a wedding and having a career made her wish she had an expert to coordinate the entire process. Three years later, Ms. Sabatino founded The Stylish Bride.
As a renowned expert in the field, Julie is frequently quoted as a bridal fashion expert in publications such as The New York Times, Martha Stewart Weddings, InStyle, Glamour, Brides and New York Magazine amongst others, and has styled numerous high-profile and celebrity brides since founding her business.
